Well you've decided that you want to be an actor, and really want to make a go of it. You realize it's going to be a lot of work and that it won't be easy. Here are a few tips to help you on your way.
First, get a computer. You'll need one when you start writing your resume, for scanning your headshots and to search for work. Create a website for yourself, something as simple as johnsmith.com will work. This is where you can really market yourself. Post your headshot and resume on it. Include some audio and video clips. Include your latest jobs on it. Make is as professional as possible. Make sure you include this web address on your resume.
Don't let one day go by that you don't actively search for work. There are many sites online (which is one of the reasons you have that computer) for you to check, Playbill, Actors Access and Craigslist just to mention a few.
Stay close to where the acting jobs are. Join a theatre group or acting company. This is a great way to remain fresh in your acting and also a great way to network, you never know who knows about a job that could be great for you. Continue taking acting classes. They always help and look good on your resume, and again, a great way to network.
Make sure you have a variety of monologues prepared. Also, always carry a copy of your resume and headshot with you. It's also a good idea to have your resume, headshot and cover letter ready to be mailed whenever a potential part comes up

Most men do not realise that women send subtle body language clues to men they are interested and attracted too.
Women also expect you to act on their flirting clues and signals. If a man does not act on a signal from the women, she could will see him as gutless and a wimp. Women, like a man that sees them as a sexual creature and is confident in his self and his sexuality.
The big advantage of becoming aware of a women's body language is that it can help you avoid rejection. You will avoid being rejected if you only ask a women out who has indicated from her body language that she is interested in you.

The more flirting signals the women sends, the more reliable the message of attraction. One body language clue is generally not a reliable signal. One needs to look for group of body language signals. Generally they will come in groups of five.
So what are some flirting signals that most women tend to use.
The first is hair touching or playing with her hair. The hair toss is a great one to watch for. To see an example of this , look at some TV commercials to see the hair toss in action.
Another way of telling you if she is interested is to look at how she sits. If she stands or sits with her crotch straight at you, this is a good sign.
Touching you is a great sign and moving closer and leaning into you when you are talking is a big plus.
Strong eye contact with bedroom eyes is a very good indication of attraction. Another is showing her breasts in some way. E.g. putting her arm under them to make the cleavage or leaning forward so you can see them.
Smiling at you and licking her lips and tilting her head as she talks are other body language signals.
Check out some TV ads and you will see the woman actors using the above signs of flirting body language signals! Also movies are a great way of learning body language as the actors are skilled at this aspect in their craft. It is good to look at the male actors too and see how they express their masculinity.
Women leave many of flirting signals when they are interested in a man. And the more signals they leave for you, the better is the chance that they really like you.
